Welcome to my Fashion Design Portfolio. Here you'll find a selection of my work.
Pleated Samurai
My rendition of a one-size-fits-all garment; Seeks to cater to diverse body types and illuminate a sense of confidence.
Cane Skirt
The idea was to explore and revitalise traditional basketry techniques through my take on a flared skirt.
Wood Veneer Armour
Taking inspiration from traditional Indian 'Dhotis' (trouser), I explored the ability to mimic its folds through the weave and geometry of wood veneer.
True Colors - Layered Shirt
Inspired by the layered lives we live, this shirt is an ode to everything that contributes to what truly makes us. The piece takes inspiration from a hand-embroidered self-portrait developed around the same idea.
Eucalyptus Bark Dress
While walking along the sidewalks of our school campus, I observed that the eucalyptus tree would often shed bark, and when wet, especially during the monsoon, the bark would become quite pliable. After multiple trial-and-error learning outcomes, I managed to create a rustic dress - completely hand-sewn.
A Sky Full of Stars - Sequins Jacket
Inspired by the mesmerizing allure of stars and the vibrant energy of city nightlife, this jacket merges the celestial with the urban.
Seevan - Paradox Pants
With the launch of my 1st collection for "Seevan" - I wanted to play with the idea of 'juxtaposition' through a luxury/streetwer lens.
Coconut leaf poncho and dress
I have observed that in many tourist destinations, if it rains, people have to purchase ‘use and throw’ plastic ponchos. In order to combat the massive negative impact that such products have on our natural environment, I took inspiration from natural methods of rain protection to create a coconut leaf 'collection' including a poncho, a dress, a vest, and many other accessories.
Traditional - White Jacket and 'Churidar' pants
To fuse contemporary urban clothing with traditional Indian motifs and techniques. Designed around the idea of "wanting to be a part of the rest vs wanting to be apart from the rest".
Peepul Leaf Shirt
In India the peepul tree is considered to be the ‘tree of gods’, and the leaves, once dehydrated, are often used as a canvas for paintings and art. I wanted to bring forth my interpretation of this idea and use these semi-transparent leaves to create texture and elegance on an otherwise ordinary garment.
Seevan - Paradox Jacket
With the launch of my 1st collection for "Seevan" - I wanted to play with the idea of 'juxtaposition' through a luxury/streetwer lens. This jacket was the first piece I designed, and it took over 2 years to create the final product.
Dusk Till Dawn - Solar Powered LED jacket
Inspired by the innate desire to stand out, this jacket utilises 2 solar cells to harness solar energy during the day which then powers LED lights embedded within the sleeves, at night.
