Founded in 2023, Seevan is south-asian fashion label led under the creative direction of Vikram Sagar. Born and brought up in India, Vikram hopes to give new life to traditional Indian artisanship by fusing cultures across the globe through humanities greatest tool: design.
Each Seevan creation is a canvas that tells a personal story—a tale of self-expression, confidence, and the joy of standing out in a world that often encourages conformity. Our garments are not just clothing; they are tools of empowerment, encouraging you to be yourself and wear your identity proudly.
At Zlatan, we provide a peek into the world of fashion, sustainability and celebrate creativity. You can ask the bot about brand stories, links to shop sustainably, and it can even directly recommend clothes for you, based on your style. Our stylist uses artificial intelligence to compare a garment that you choose to thousands of others, successfully discovering and recommending new and sustainable garments that match your style.
PlantoTech is an automated hydroponic plant growth system that monitors temperature, humidity, light, water levels, and pH levels. Our system reduces the amount of human intervention required to grow plants, making it easy for households to grow their own fruits and vegetables. Our goal is to provide a sustainable and efficient solution for plant growth.
Where This Flower Blooms was created to inspire people to reduce their negative impact on the natural environment. As a part of the project, we (my brother and I) recently hosted a fundraiser festival. Over 40 artists, poets, authors and singers presented their work, and we were able to fundraise
over INR 300,000 for our 3 partner non-profits (Calcutta Foundation, Re/Make Foundation and Naz Foundation). The festival also marked the launch of our projects, including a school in rural India and a sustainable, climate-conscious fashion brand. Outside the festival, we have conducted many events across the city of Bangalore, to invite people to build projects that dramatically help our environment.
Realising that loneliness is a universal human experience encouraged me to reflect on how many must be going through similar feelings of isolation. I wanted to create a platform that would bring people together, regardless of age - a space where individuals could connect with like-minded people who shared their passions, hobbies, and interests. That's when the idea for "The Happiness Project" was born.
"The Happiness Project" is a mental health companion that tracks 'happiness' and provides activities and suggestions for things to do - crafted specifically to each user. The platform has now accumulated over 10,000+ monthly users and continues to expand. Furthermore, we are working on building community groups and have launched our first community in Bangalore, India. The community consists of 30+ active individuals who meet every Sunday to discuss anything from food to sports to books and have made an effort to stay in touch throughout the week on our "Happiness Project Whatsapp group".
VARANA - SPRING/SUMMER '24
During the summer of 2023, I Interned at a London/Bangalore based luxury fashion house called "Varana". Here I worked as a Junior Designer under Design Director, Francesco Chiapperini, and designed for the Spring/Summer '24 collection. Involved in every step from ideating to sketching to working with tech packs and understanding how to develop patterns all the way through to the final production.
During the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to intern at Total Environment, a renowned firm in the
architectural design, construction and real estate industry. Total Environment's commitment to creating
sustainable and eco-friendly living spaces is evident in every aspect of their work.
I, however, was given the task of ideating and designing what could be done with the construction waste that
was generated at each construction site which included piles of waste wood, stone and glass. I used this to
design and prototype a set of lights, garments, home-products, sculptures, tables , seating and bricks , entirely
from the construction site waste. I then took this further by also repurposing household items that were no longer useable/ being used.
The Permaculture program
In 2021, my brother and I created a water collection and cultivation system as part of the 'Total Environment' office landscape to take advantage of the heavy rain and subsequently remediate flooding in the area. The land was surveyed with the help of local land surveyors and we used this survey plan to identify and create water catchment areas along with a planting plan to help retain the humidity in the soil.
2 years on, the project is now complete and not only has our design helped tackle issues of flooding but the majority of fruits and vegetables used to cook meals for the employees of Total-Environment are sourced directly from the permaculture cultivation system.
Sweet-dreams: side sleeper and holster
Over the past 4 years, I have struggled with insomnia and have been looking out for solutions ever since. After doing some research, I found out that direct pressure and the manipulation of muscles in the neck, shoulders and back can help trigger the production of melatonin as well as reduce cortisol- which leads to stress - therefore, positively impacting sleeping patterns.
So, I developed a product that I like to call "Sweet dreams" using Arduino software. Sweet dreams is essentially wearable technology that massages and applies light pressure on the shoulder, back and glutes. The motor is activated at a 90 degree angle, where it is able to sense that the body is lying down - at rest.
After months of work, I launched my very first NFT collection alongside a team of extremely talented individuals. Being a creative family, during the pandemic my brothers and I realised a huge opportunity for our art and creative minds. We spent a few weeks coming up with concepts and finally landed on "Gator-raid" a set of 4,444 unique 'gators' that would be auctioned on the Ethereum blockchain. We developed a community of over 3000 active members on our discord channel pre-launch.
Gator-Raid was launched in February of 2022 and sold out within 24 hours. The collection is currently available on opensea.io for a floor price of 0.3 ETH (as of 13/10/2023).
The Christmas Monkey Project - 2020
As a a part of the 'Where This Flower Blooms' initiative,
my brother and I repurposed old socks to create soft toy monkeys with the help of youtube tutorials. These were then used as decorations for Christmas and later donated to underprivileged children as a unique Christmas present.
