Founded in 2023, Seevan is south-asian fashion label led under the creative direction of Vikram Sagar. Born and brought up in India, Vikram hopes to give new life to traditional Indian artisanship by fusing cultures across the globe through humanities greatest tool: design.

You can ask the bot about brand stories, links to shop sustainably, and it can even directly recommend clothes for you, based on your style. Our stylist uses artificial intelligence to compare a garment that you choose to thousands of others, successfully discovering and recommending new and sustainable garments that match your style.
Sweet-dreams: Sleep Better
Over the past 4 years, I have struggled with insomnia and have been looking out for solutions ever since. After doing some research, I found out that direct pressure and the manipulation of muscles in the neck, shoulders and back can help trigger the production of melatonin as well as reduce cortisol- which leads to stress - therefore, positively impacting sleeping patterns.
So, I developed a product that I like to call "Sweet dreams" using Arduino software. Sweet dreams is essentially wearable technology that massages and applies light pressure on the shoulder, back and glutes. The motor is activated at a 90 degree angle, where it is able to sense that the body is lying down - at rest.

I deeply resonate with the quote 'art informs life' and have strived to sharpen my creative skills over the past few years. The recurrent themes in my work are identity, community,
and belonging. Being a twin, I've never been considered 'unique' and have often felt a lack of individuality. Still, I knew I could harness my ability to create to enable myself and the people around me to exercise their individuality.
This journey began when I started showcasing my individuality through the clothes I designed for myself. What began as a means of self-expression quickly transformed into my own fashion label, Seevan. An empowering experience, I had discovered the power of visual arts and gained the sense of IDENTITY that I initially set out to claim.
Through my creative portfolio, I wanted to test the boundaries of art and fashion and each piece strives to tell a story of my upbringing.
VARANA - SPRING/SUMMER '24
During the summer of 2023, I Interned at a London/Bangalore based luxury fashion house called "Varana". Here I worked as a Junior Designer under Design Director, Francesco Chiapperini, and designed for the Spring/Summer '24 collection. Involved in every step from ideating to sketching to working with tech packs and understanding how to develop patterns all the way through to the final production.
